Hello, I’m Kate, the heart and hands behind KateKrochet — an Australian fibre artist and Twitch streamer passionate about transforming yarn, fibre, and metal into wearable works of art.
Founded in 2024, KateKrochet began as a live Makers & Crafting channel on Twitch, where I share my love for crochet, macramé, chainmaille, and knitting with a growing creative community.
What started as a space to connect with fellow makers has evolved into a brand where viewers can purchase the handmade creations they see crafted live — each piece unique, authentic, and made with care.
My collections features handmade crochet clothing, accessories, jewellery, and plush toys, all designed to blend craftsmanship with comfort. Every stitch, knot, and link reflects my 30+ years of experience as a fibre artist and my commitment to using only the finest materials.

Charities and Fundraising
During December 2025, KateKrochet and the Red Yarn District raised over $500AUD for the Starlight Children's Foundation Australia to help sick kids in hospital, through livestreaming on Twitch.
Uniquely Australian, Captain Starlight is a super hero who comes down from Planet Starlight every day to brighten the lives of sick kids and their families. Starlight Express Rooms are found in all children's hospitals in Australia and provide a break from the relentless cycle of medical treatments and procedures for sick kids. Captain Starlight goes on Rocket Rounds to reach out to children unable to leave their beds, in emergency departments and waiting for outpatient appointments or surgery.
